The Canadian Men’s National Soccer team hosts Costa Rica tonight in front of what’s expected to be a near-capacity crowd at Commonwealth Stadium.
Here’s the pitch: show up early, wear red!
“Edmonton has already demonstrated its incredible support for Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team, now we’re looking to create a powerful Sea of Red in the stands to help push the team forward,” said Heather Seutter, Commonwealth Stadium Director.
“Gear up in your Canada colours, bring your approved flags, scarves, anything that will contribute to creating the best possible support for the team.”
Here are other important things fans need to know.
Stadium entrance starts at 5 pm
With the big crowd and the need to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or recent negative test result to enter the stadium, fans are encouraged to give themselves extra time on match day.
The first 5,000 fans get a free Canada rally towel from Canada Soccer partner Allstate.
